The Race

          the Race                                                     one day there is some boys who wanted to race on their motorcycles they were fighting about which one would win on the dirt track thanks practiced all day  finally the day came the first one to finish the finish line would get 100 $ .They Lined up at the start line there were bumpy Hills and jumps it looked very hard and rough They got ready at the starting line The Counselor  started of counting 54321 bang the gun went. They started racing off over bumpy Hills the blue motorbike was first. they all wanted to be first Sunday the yellow motorbike got in front of the Blue bike there was a massive Hill coming up were they going to jump it all goes slow. they all got prepared some of them were going to go slow and some of them would do a trick on the jump the first guy he did a trick on the jump most of the other guys except for the second I went slow the second I didn't do a trick but he got in front of the through sky they could see the end of the race they tried to go the fastest and the best it was a very close race but the yellow guy won the race but then he shared the money with the other guys and see good game.

Skiing

In the July holidays we went to the South Island to go skiing .We went up and down on a bus to the
mountains. The bus was very big mum said it would be safer if we used the bus it was very scary
looking down. It was very fun. Mum, Ishana, Seema and Lara loved it including me. At skiing we
went to ski school. We had to use a helmet after that we got goggles Mum made me wear a lot of
layers it was very warm. It was funny because when we took off our goggles it was very white and
then when we put them back on it was very grey. It was a very big mountain. I went down the big hill.
Sometimes I liked it sometimes I didn't. When I liked it I went down the hill very fast other times I went
out of control because people were skiing in the middle pushing the snow to the side which made it icy
in the middle. To get on the big hill we went up a chair lift.

When we got on the bus when we finished we had to go back down I was too scared to
because it was very high but then I just got on anyway it was a long way down it took half an
hour you could see every farm in the world it felt like but you couldn't when we finally got down we got
off the bus and went well Grandma and Grandad house. they have a pet cat called Heidi she l
ikes to hide a lot cuz she was shy but sometimes she will come out and get a pet from you

This is not my hat book review by Ben

This book is about a little fish stealing a big fish’s hat. The setting of the story was in a warm tropical ocean. I think the story funny because everything goes wrong for the little fish. He tries to hide from the big fish but he has such bad luck. The big fish find him  because everyone gave him directions where Little fsh went. I like this book because you can choose how your own story would end. You could decide if the little fish died, was caught or swam away. I think junior kids would like this book because it it has good pictures and not too many words. I think the lesson of the story is never to steal.

The soccer coach

“Cross it Ben!” Shouted Ben`s soccer coach. He was playing a game with his team as striker but he kept forgetting to cross it across the other side’s goal.

At the end of the game coach yelled at Ben. Ben was keen on football but his coach was really negative about things especially at practices.

Ben kept complaining to his mum and finally she went and saw the practice. She was shocked at the coach’s behaviour so she talked to the coach about it.

But Ben’s coach said that it wasn't his problem. So she just decided not to take Ben to the practice. He was only meant to play a couple more games anyway and, at the end of the term, the parents voted the coach out.  

Australia

We went to Australia in the July holidays. My family went there to visit my cousin Harry and Esther. We had to get up very late in the night then we have to get in a taxi and go to the airport. When I was on the airplane I watch heaps of movies.  Finally when I got there my cousins picks me up at the airport then we drive to the house When we got to the backyard in the house there was a massive tree Hut there was a swing it was really high there was a sandpit there were cones ropes I felt like it had everything. Then we had dinner after that we went to bed the next morning we rented a car we drove to this place it was a animal sanctuary Had different kinds of animals it had wombats , kangaroos and koalas and other crazy kind of animals like snakes and spiders my favourite was the snakes . There was a massive snake it was called in Anaconda First we went to the  alligators I only saw one though but it was massive. When I saw the Kangaroos we we're allowed to pet them and feed them we bought some Food for them it was funny to see them hop they hopped so fast around the place after we saw the kangaroos whistle koalas there was one that was so funny they were all cuddled up all three of them after we saw them we went back in the car and went home. The next day we went on a boat I got to drive sometimes when we got near the massive Island we got in the little boat in the back and the little but when we were going there we saw 2 sea turtles . When we got close to the island. When we got boat on the island I decided to go for a long walk Harry and my mum  it was a long walk but finally we got there we just thought it would be one Hills it was three Hills they were very steep finally when we got there it felt like the whole day had gone past we took a picture and then decided to have a rest for a little while then we decided to start walking back when we got back with the then we're waiting in the little boat to go back it took a little while to go back because all of us were in the boat but finally we got there we go onto the big boat and then we had lunch and had to swim in the sea but was freezing I only went in once and then that was it he started sailing back we found out a new good spot to try to find dolphins it was in the front of the boat with bean bags and blankets we summly got bored so all of us started to play hide and seek in the boat there were lots of stuff in the boat so then it was easy to hide but then it said getting dark so we stopped and then Mum Shout It Out dolphins! we run up as fast as we can to the end of the boat there we saw dolphins they were playing about in the ocean jumping up in the water we watch  them through the wild do we Sud sailing back it was getting dark so then we went inside when we got to the place where we parked the boat we all got off the boat then we went back home and the cars.

yesterday there was a student LED a student LED conference went to work student LED conferences. When your parents come and you show them your  learning I like student LED conferences because then you can show your learning and show what you've been up to. I show them my artwork there are three cats on the fence we painted them they said’’ that is amazing Ben ’’

Taking computers apart

Taking Computers Apart

Taking computers apart  was fun because there were lots of screws. Originally we thought that we would be able to put it back together but we couldn’t because it was too complicated. I like it because the computer chip board was interesting to look at and was magnetic.  It was hard to get inside the computer, this was frustrating and I felt mad that it wasn’t working. It was almost impossible but we got there in the end. Ms Wrack was with us and she said the computers were already broken so that's why we were allowed to do it. She is a fun teacher, she let's us have free time when we do good stuff. I was working with someone in my class her name was Feilcia. She was good at undoing the screws.
