I hear my friends moaning next to me What I thought maybe we would die we probably would anyway.
People were
splashing water over me I think it really helped that much my baby so crying next to me I cried
to a little bit I heard the news  you don't chatting about how we were stranded and we probably
would die! My baby heard the news we all try to cheer up but we couldn't really we laid there
for a long time how humans were splashing water onto us after that I felt myself dying after a
minute or two I couldn't get enough water then I died my baby was ordered left alone maybe
in the future this won't happen

once upon a time there were three little pigs  and they were and they were homeless didn't
do that while I'm school they didn't focus at all the teacher said stop fidgeting All they wanted
to do was play with each other they came to  school to do that your teacher warned them about
what they will grow up to be but they then listen to the teacher they were out on the streets begging
they sent next to each other one of them said I wish That  we paid more attention at school once a
scratch cake came along he gave him $100 each the thought they would try to buy a house with
it so they went to a house that was on sale when was looks really good but they didn't bother taxi
look inside it the first pig said I buy that one then he went to live in it the next one went along to
another one he said it looked ok so we bought it third one was More Smarter he looked inside the
house 4 year or two at school he didn't stay with his brothers he went to another table and it is for
 work he looked inside it looked pretty good so we bought it once a wolf came in to the first house
the books were very loose so we could half and passed through it the piggy went to his brothers
house his brother house was made out of sticks the sticks from properly and so the wolf Garten
easily they both ran to the youngest brother's house he was the smartest so we had a good
house they all stayed there they're worried I'm worried the wolf tried to the half it down but he
couldn't so then he just gave up the end

Junior Sportsperson

“And the GTS  Junior Sportsperson of the year is………... Ben Lambert!!” said Mr herlihy.  I can't believe that I got a trophy and a middle. I think the main things I got the junior sportsperson of the year was coming first in cross-country and then I went to in to school and when first place there to!!I just remember stepping up those stairs and Herlihy he shook my hand and gave me a medal and trophy with my name carved on the trophy. some people gave me a hug or shook my hand and said well done then. After that I felt really special I had so much stuff to carry Mum help me carry Trophies and medals.. I got to keep the middle but the trophy had to go on to the school cabinet. It is still there right now other students have there name on it to now their names are on it too.At the end of the day my sister got angry and jealous because the trophy in the middle. We went to celebrate at McDonald's because I won the trophy I got heaps of food it was delicious

As my friend and I sat there on the plane screaming our heads off I said to my friend I can't believe mum let us do this!!!! We are practically yelling our heads off because we cannot hear each other.  I yell to my friend I can see the boats and sea going past me .My friend yells at me he yelled that he could hear the engine I could too. I yelled back at him I smelt the petrol I told him. My ears were hurting from the pressure. Mum was hiding behind the seat I said to myself why is my mum hiding behind the seat. My friend said that maybe she was embarrassed thinking that she was a bad mum.  we thought about it wouldn't everyone's mum do that would yours????????

“…….and the winner of the junior sportsperson of the year is………. Benjamin Lambert!” said
Mr Herlihy.  Wow I can't believe it! I have won a trophy at The Glen Taylor school prize giving.
I was in Year 3, it was December 2016.

The whole school as well as parents and families were together in a big outside assembly
ready to congratulate the winners. When I heard my name I was very surprised, I almost
didn't know what to do. I had to walk up onto the stage in front of everyone and shake Mr
Herlihys hand. The junior sportsperson of the year cup was so big and my name was
engraved on the back ! I even got a medal to keep. Everybody clapped. I felt a little bit
embarrassed but also very happy.

I think the main reason I won the cup was because I had won the School cross-country
and then when I went to represent the Glen Taylor school at the inter school cross-country,
I came second place. Playing sport and doing PE is my most favourite thing to do at school.
My second favourite thing to do at school is to play sport at lunchtime.

All my family and all my friends and my teacher Miss Elena we're all so happy. Lots of people
came and gave me a hug or shook my hand to say “Well done!”  Mum took lots of photos of me
with the cup and we sent photos to my dad, my grandparents and mama so everyone could see
my big smile and my big cup.

Have you ever been as green as the greenest jealous monster because your friend has a
cool as toy?  I have! My good friend Cooper is so lucky because he has an electric
skateboard. In the holidays when I went to Cooper’s house to play I got to have a turn
at trying to ride it. One go and I was a natural. I've got to get myself one of these.

An electric skateboard looks like a normal skateboard but it has a little electric motor
that makes the wheels go round and the rider has a handheld remote control. The
remote control allows you to make the skateboard go faster or go slower. The electric skateboard
has batteries but you simply plug it in and recharge it like your Chromebook.

I have seen one of our neighbours also has an electric skateboard. Our street has a very smooth
road surface so it is a fantastic place to ride up and down. Our dog August goes psycho when
our neighbour goes passed, she hates the electric skateboard. She also hates the postman and
his electric buggy.  Electronic things seem to be very popular at the moment as there is also the
new electric scooters that you can use an app to rent in Auckland City.

I have been asking my Mama if I can have an electric skateboard. She tells me I'm dreaming. I
hope she's just joking. Otherwise my only option will be Santa. “Dear Santa ,please please please
can I have an electric skateboard for Christmas, I promise to be kind to my sister - honest!” And I
am sure August will get use to it.

Family Adventure

Family Adventure

A memorable adventure was when we went to Motatapu Island with my family. Motatapu
is in the middle of the Hauraki gulf. Aly, Lara, Mama and me got a taxi and then a boat to
get to the island. We were going to the island because Aly was running the Dual Marathon
Trail Race.  Motatapu is a conservation island and The Dual is a fundraising event to help
raise money so the different birds on the island can be protected and the island can remain pest free.

The island is looked after by the department of conservation. When we arrived at the ferry
terminal there were many doc Rangers they're worth working dogs. The dogs were all trained
to smell different types of things. Some of the dog had the job of trying to smell if there was
any rodents hiding in our bags or camping gear. There were other dogs too but their job
wouldn't start until they got to the island.  they had been trained to smell out
kiwis so then the Rangers could tag and track the endangered birds on the island.

My favourite part of the adventure was the fact that we were camping on the island.
Even though it was very hard getting to the island because we had to carry everything
and it was so heavy. Plus we had to put our tent up in the dark and the only toilet a long
drop - yuck so smelly. Once we got into bed it was amazing listening to all of the different
bird calls it sounded like concert. I also loved how we got to eat 2 minute noodles for breakfast
that never happens at home.

Aly was running the race on Saturday and it was going to take her hours and hours so we had
to find something to do by ourselves. Mama had brought along my fishing rod. It turned out to be
the most unsuccessful fishing trip in history. On the very first cast our lure got stuck in the rocks
and our line snapped. On the 2nd cast out lure got caught in the seaweed, line snapped.
And on the 3rd cast the lure flew off the end of the line. Fishing over - zero fish caught. Just
as well we had the chocolate fish as a backup.

Celebrating all of the successful finishers on Saturday night was a good time.
There was a concert and food trucks. Lara and I made friends with other kids who also camping
. We got to have a hot chips and burger for dinner, I did wonder how the food trucks got on to the
island though. Lara and I played a funny game where we would roll ourselves up in the tarpaulin
and try and wriggle like worms to get out.

Someone

They were all not allowed to go to there country someone had  took over it. They were on a little fishing boat. They were all sad and tired they all thought maybe they'll come back for revenge but they didn't.  Were too scared they lived on a lovely island once the there are heaps of fish but now it was just black. Because someone had took it over they poured rubbish sea . now they poison the fish was Pretty grim . They were all went to New Zealand . They thought well this is pretty good country. It was even better than the island That they lived on before. They all like the Maori people they were very nice to them.  someone looked at the people who lived in New Zealand that they once lived at the island . The island was very Grimm now he got jealous and wanted to go for New Zealand.

 called Koko's Kitten . It was
about a gorilla who adopted a
kitten.Koko had learned sign
language so she could communicate
using sign language.

The shark

Once there was a shark that got teased a lot by the humans. He decided to go and escape from the aquarium. But he couldn't do it by his own. He thought maybe his other fish friends would help . Fortunately they did. They  they also got teased to they thought maybe they could do it together.

They all tried at once but they had to do it at night because  the humans were watching them . The next night when everybody was asleep they  crept up to the wall they all jumped. They got over the sea wall! They liked it in the ocean no one teased them or tried to hunt them because they had a shark for a protector

Personal narrative

Last week we read a personal narrative.
 It was called Perfectly Ridiculous It was
about a girl Who's mum Likes perfection

 Once she went to his her aunt's and
Uncles house. They didn't mind about
the messy house. One of the girls cousin
liked to do a experiment. First he wanted
to find out how frogs  live in without there
natural habitat. Things like ponds or in
trees. Then they went to lunch they put the
frogs in the bathroom. The problem was there
that they didn't shut the door after them.
All the frogs jumped out and then they hid it
in all the rooms .So then they had to find all
of the frogs.

Yesterday after school my dad came to pick
me up. He came over from Sydney to see
me and my sister. When we got home my
dad and I picked fruit while Lara played with
her toys. Dad put me on his shoulders so that
I could pick the fruit up high .

After that we went inside to eat the fruit,
but I didn't because I don't like banana
passionfruit.

For the Easter holidays my cousins came over.
We played on the Tramp together. My tramp
has a basketball hoop. After we played on
the trampoline, I helped my sister paint her
bird house .Then ,we hung the birdhouse
up on tree .Then we put some bird feed in
the tree house . Birds came and ate  the

When Skye was at school at lunch time she didn't like her sandwiches.
She threw them back in her lunch box .At home she hid the sandwiches
under her bed because she didn't want Mum to see them. When Skye went to
sleep one day when she woke up  her mum came into her room she saw ants
and flies landing like planes.When her mum came in she said Skye had to
clean her room. Mum decided that she would make a panini for Skye instead
of making a sandwich .

Ben

Hi My name is Ben.  I am 9 Years old My family are the
Lamberts. I have  have 4 Mums and two dads And I have
two houses . They are Lnterest st and Matapan Road.
I was born New Zealand. But my dad comes from Malaysia.

I have two sisters the oldest one is Lara she is 6 years old the

other younger sister is called Ash.

I am tall and thin .My eyes are brown and I have short

I have a pet dog, her name is August .  Her breed is a
German shorthaired pointer She is very funny and silly
because she gets excited. After School I jump on my
trampoline that has a basketball hoop. I like it. I put balls
on there it stays in there because it has a net. After school
I play soccer on Monday.

At my school my friend is Tali, he is in room 8 and I am in
room 10. My favourite subject at school is reading and PE.

The field of flames people came here  but they turned into ghosts ! They haunted the people that
they hate. Once this little boy came he hated another boy in his class thought maybe I could turn into
a ghost but he never knew that he couldn't change back. He turned into a ghost he went to that boy
that he hated. It actually turned out that he was a ghost too

They started to become friends and haunted other people. they stole money from
the banks they thought that they could become rich but they couldn't spend the money
because there are ghosts. They thought thought maybe they could steal stuff from the
shops but they don't know what to do with the money they thought maybe they should
put on the streets and give it to people.

Riverhead Forest Reserve cross-country race

On Sunday we went to Riverhead Forest reserve . it was for a cross country

race. The track of the course looked very hard and very muddy.The race was
called the Auckland XTerra series - Riverhead Forest, and it is the third race
that I have done in the series. I have also done the Waitawa race and the
Waiuku race each race is about 6 K.It takes me about 35 minutes to run this far
but if it is a hilly course it might take longer. I had a great plan to get a good
photo from the cameraman next to the  track . I did get a good photo in the
end as I fell in this massive hole right in front of the camera man. But it was
worth it in the end, see the photos below ! Next time I do my race, I'm going
to try to get a spot prize. At the races a spot prize is given out when you do
something good or you look very muddy. I was surprised that I didn't get a
spot prize at the race because I was very muddy. After that we went back
to the car . I got into a change of clean clothes and went to a great swing that
hang from a large tree in the forest. After I played on the swing, I had my a
photo taken with August my dog. August is very big and is sometimes naughty
because she  does understand us but she does not listen. August is a German
shorthaired pointer so she has spots all around her and a black nose. She loves
running like me.

The Monster

I was waiting in my creepy house writing fiercely on my chromebook that was so close to being flat. When I heard someone deafening scream Downstairs . It was my  pesky little sister she got eaten by the humongous monster downstairs … wait we have a monster downstairs?? I tip toe downstairs my sister wasn't there. I will never forget  that moment for the rest of my life not even when a thousand years has gone past because although she is annoying I still love my little sister

Today I found the same writing on my chromebook that was 100% charged  that day when my little sister got taken away. I shuddered just thinking of it  the monster I felt sorry for my sister at that moment because she got eaten by the monster I found that I would find the  creepy monster and try to get her back Soon once I'm done with school .But yet I am still scared Because the monster might eat me too

The Race

          the Race                                                     one day there is some boys who wanted to race on their motorcycles they were fighting about which one would win on the dirt track thanks practiced all day  finally the day came the first one to finish the finish line would get 100 $ .They Lined up at the start line there were bumpy Hills and jumps it looked very hard and rough They got ready at the starting line The Counselor  started of counting 54321 bang the gun went. They started racing off over bumpy Hills the blue motorbike was first. they all wanted to be first Sunday the yellow motorbike got in front of the Blue bike there was a massive Hill coming up were they going to jump it all goes slow. they all got prepared some of them were going to go slow and some of them would do a trick on the jump the first guy he did a trick on the jump most of the other guys except for the second I went slow the second I didn't do a trick but he got in front of the through sky they could see the end of the race they tried to go the fastest and the best it was a very close race but the yellow guy won the race but then he shared the money with the other guys and see good game.

Skiing

In the July holidays we went to the South Island to go skiing .We went up and down on a bus to the
mountains. The bus was very big mum said it would be safer if we used the bus it was very scary
looking down. It was very fun. Mum, Ishana, Seema and Lara loved it including me. At skiing we
went to ski school. We had to use a helmet after that we got goggles Mum made me wear a lot of
layers it was very warm. It was funny because when we took off our goggles it was very white and
then when we put them back on it was very grey. It was a very big mountain. I went down the big hill.
Sometimes I liked it sometimes I didn't. When I liked it I went down the hill very fast other times I went
out of control because people were skiing in the middle pushing the snow to the side which made it icy
in the middle. To get on the big hill we went up a chair lift.

When we got on the bus when we finished we had to go back down I was too scared to
because it was very high but then I just got on anyway it was a long way down it took half an
hour you could see every farm in the world it felt like but you couldn't when we finally got down we got
off the bus and went well Grandma and Grandad house. they have a pet cat called Heidi she l
ikes to hide a lot cuz she was shy but sometimes she will come out and get a pet from you
